For The Armory Show, Summer Mei Ling Lee will present When Fox is a Thousand, a mixed media installation of textile work, cyanotypes, ink and and gold-leaf panel paintings. Inspired from her exhibition at the Museo delle Culture di Milano (MUDEC) in Milan for the 2026 Winter Olympics, Lee will assemble multiple scrolls of transparent gauze, a drifting veil layered and staggered to give the sensation of a snowstorm and the miraculous, both moments of relational spontaneity that aims to precede and exceed ontological categories.
